This endeavor came as a result of an issue that has recently come to the forefront of the American consumer’s consciousness. Namely, the soaring cost of food at home and abroad, and more specifically the cost of one of this country’s favorite and most delectable morsels served in fine institutions of imbibement across this great land. The chicken wing.
We founding fathers of the CWI have vivid memories of the days when it was not uncommon to find wings at a modest price of nary more than 10¢ a piece, if not less. Alas, it seems those days have left us behind and not unlike some pack of ravenous mongrels do we scour our fair cities in search of some remnant of days gone by.
The time has come for a brave few to take up a new standard in the name of not just the noble wing, but all things gastro-economic.
